Mr. Ye graduated from the School of Chemical Engineering, Wuhan University of Technology (formerly the Chemical Department of Wuhan University of Chemical Technology) in 1986. Starting from 1986 he was engaged in the market information research, industrial planning, safe production and consulting service of chemical products in China National Chemical Information Center.

Since 1992 Mr. Ye has written around 800 articles, totaling 4.5 million words, for various periodicals, conference journals and special topics, around 100 special consultation reports (including feasibility study reports, pre-feasibility study reports and project proposals) and also reviewed and edited around 5.0 million words of publications and materials.
