Henan Lianchuang Chemical Co., Ltd. announced on January 2nd that it completed construction of 120 000 t/a caustic soda project and commenced commercially production. After wet commission, the whole line has manufactured qualified caustic soda.
The new project was constructed in Jiyuan of Henan province, central China. The 120 000 t/a polyvinyl chloride project that was launched on the same day together with the caustic soda project is expected to come on stream in July 2010. Therefore this caustic soda unit has to operate below full capacity to wait for the completion of matched polyvinyl chloride unit.
